Rachel supported our EHCP journey from building our initial understanding of how a plan might help our daughter, to fully supporting the writing process and selecting quotes from reports to create a holistic view of our child's needs on the page. We were able to take the plan to school and share it with the SENCo, who added the final tweaks and submitted it to the local authority. We've now got a plan in place and our daughter is receiving the support she needs to succeed.

My children have been learning with Wilbur and Flops for some time now and we as a family love everything about the sessions.
The sessions have been brilliant for my children in terms of building their confidence, knowledge, and comfortability around their schoolwork. Rachel’s calm and patient delivery of the sessions puts my children immediately at ease. Rachel will take the time to talk to the children, engage with them and find out a little more about them, incorporating that into their sessions making it feel rather personable.
When I received my children’s school reports, I could generally follow the thoughts of their teacher, however I felt like I needed more of an explanation to fully understand where my children were at in terms of their education and what further support would help them achieve their best. Rachel really helped me to understand what the reports really meant, what the teachers were really telling me and most importantly what things I could introduce at home moving forward. The ideas that Rachel gave me were brilliant.
I would completely recommend Rachel to any family wanting to give their children additional help and to any parent seeking advice and guidance in relation to their children’s education. Thank you Wilbur and Flops for all your help this and last year.

Phonics is such an important development area in the preparation for school. With Rachel being a teacher, she knows exactly how to teach it in a pre-school friendly manner, and had the children really engaged. It was quite a calm environment, which differed from other classes; this was definitely a plus for me! It also allowed the children to settle and gain confidence without being overwhelmed.
Even better for parents was that we got a guidance sheet at the end, to help with continuing the learning after the class.

My 4 year old boy has been attending for the past few months and has made massive progress since starting. He is showing much more awareness of letters and sounds and Rachel plans excellent hands-on activities to encourage this self-led interest. The link to stories helps to capture his interest, all whilst beginning to get him school ready. He always tells me (he goes with Nanny) lots about what he has done and can retell the stories he has listened to. As a teacher, Rachel has the experience to know just what the children need to learn but also keeps it fun and exciting! Would definitely recommend attending. Thank you!

Rachel has worked with our children all term on fostering a love of reading, supporting learning through phonics and sounds, with the use of the early years curriculum, and through a lot of fun and activities surrounding carefully chosen stories each week.
